The Power of Routines, Even in the Summer!
All of us thrive on routines, especially children. Routines provide a sense of stability. They are the “bumpers” in the bowling alley of life. It’s important to establish and continue these routines, even in the summer.
At school, teachers establish routines with the children early on in the school year. These routines support children’s safety and help them predict what will be happening during their school day. Likewise, at home, routines are established and followed. Routines at home positively influence good habits for eating and sleeping and can create positive habits for completing tasks and household responsibilities.
Don’t give up the routines this summer!
