Please let us know. Otherwise we have hundreds of award winning titles to choose from. We pull many of our books from the Reader's Choice Award books and District 181 Battle of the Books list, curated by D181 librarians, teachers, and students. High interest books are chosen to give students grade appropriate experiences in predicting, questioning, and inferring. We will take note of the author’s craft, including how the author uses imaging and writing choices, to make the story come alive for the reader. Throughout, we will discuss the big ideas of the story and how the author develops the theme. Word games will be incorporated with our book study! For our younger ones, rising 2nd and 3rd graders, group sizes are limited to 6 students and will meet for 60 minutes. For our older ones, rising 4th - 6th graders, group sizes are limited to 8 students and we will meet for 75 minutes.
